Partnering with Airbnb’s in-house marketing team, we brought this LA Anthem to life. Created for Airbnb's annual 'Open' festival—a celebration of hospitality—this special weekend saw hosts and guests from over 100 countries come together to inspire one another, explore a more local side of Los Angeles, and redefine the meaning of travel.

Regenerative farmers, Erik and Doniga Markegard, provide grass-fed and pasture-raised beef, lamb, pork and chicken to their community in Half Moon Bay, CA. Through holistic planned grazing (which helps capture carbon in the soil), watershed stewardship and using no pesticides or chemical fertilizers, they are teaching their children how to leave the 8,000-acre Markegard Family Ranch better than they found it.

After college, Mickey Murch came home to Gospel Flat Farm in Bolinas, CA to continue the family tradition of vegetable farming, chicken raising, and running a 24-hour self-serve honor-system farm stand. He also leads hands-on farming workshops for students and community groups. Good and dirty work, for sure.

Ascend follows the inspiring story of a group of young women from Afghanistan who pursue their passion for climbing and mountaineering despite facing grave risks. But when the Taliban seized power in 2021, they were forced to flee their homes and start anew in the United States. Members of the Yosemite Search & Rescue team learned about the women’s plight and invited them to spend a week in Yosemite, where they could safely reunite and find solace with the climbing community.
